Design Office Overview

The VT Fitzroy Design Office is a multi-disciplinary design and drawing office, able to provide a comprehensive range of design services for Defence, Marine & Superyacht customers.

Building on many years of providing design and drawing services for the Royal New Zealand Navy, the Design Office can draw on a broad range of technical expertise in the Constructive (Naval Architecture), Electrical, and Mechanical engineering disciplines.

The Design Office infrastructure is based on the Bentley Systems MicroStation family of engineering CAD software, supported by the Intergraph AIM document and workflow management system. The Design Office has over ten years of experience with MicroStation CAD software, and is one of the largest users of the software in New Zealand.

The Design Office is supported by a Technical Information Unit, responsible for the controlled management and issue of all technical documentation within the company. The Unit incorporates a scanning and printing facility for drawings and documents up to A0 size.

The VT Fitzroy Design Office is certified to AS/NZ ISO 9001:2000.
