VT Fitzroy located at Devonport Dockyard in the port of Auckland offers New Zealand's largest ship repair and marine engineering facility.
Thanks to its good reputation for quality, combined with an excellent dry-dock and location, VT Fitzroy continues to grow an efficient servicing and repair capability for International and New Zealand operated ships and large yachts.
The yard’s Calliope Dry dock equipped with a 40 tonne traveling crane and skyjack traveling painting booms can accommodate vessels up to 170 metres in length and 22.5 metres beam . In water repair berths are also available on site allowing efficient access for VT Fitzroy’s comprehensive range of trades and work shops.
Up to 25 dry-dockings plus in water repair projects are completed each year with the range of vessels including cargo and cruise ships, fishing vessels, superyachts as well as Navy warships and support vessels.
Smaller yachts and work boats can be hauled out for survey or refit on VT Fitzroy’s 200 tonne syncrolift.
VT Fitzroy is an ISO 9001:2000 certified company with Classification Society approved survey technicians,
qualified and experienced mechanical, electrical and fabrication trades as well as an in-house Design Office and a Telarc approved calibration workshop. VT Fitzroy is well equipped to undertake the full range of dry dock survey repairs and modifications and to manage marine engineering and refitting projects.
